One of the best theater bookshops in the New York City is The Drama Bookshop, and each year they publish a list of great holiday gift ideas for the actor, and I’m reproducing them here:

At The Drama Bookstore, you’ll find plays, libretti, thespian biographies and tomes on acting technique, but also guides to writing screenplays, and scripts of current films.

As an example of one of their industry events, here’s a video of Emmy winning actress Louise Shaffer from RYAN’S HOPE, THE EDGE OF NIGHT, SEARCH FOR TOMORROW and several other soaps is now a successful novelist. On Thursday, July 2 she hosted “An Evening with Louise Shaffer” at the Drama Book Shop in New York City. Among the attendees at the event were for soap star Audrey Landers and former soap writer Juliet Law Packer:
